The yacht featured in the pre-title opening sequence of the James Bond film The Living Daylights (1987) is the Trafalgar Yacht, previously named the "Yildiz 10", "Moonmaiden II", and "Glorious".
James Bond (Timothy Dalton) lands with his parachute on the yacht after the thrilling chase on Gibraltar. There he meets the beautiful Linda (played by Belle Avery).
The yacht is only visible briefly from above. Then we see only a part of one of the decks where Linda is lounging, with two smaller crafts in the background on the rear deck.
The scene was filmed in Tangier (Morocco) harbour where Timothy Dalton was guided onto the yacht by a crane.
Since the appearance in The Living Daylights the 39-metre superyacht has been through an extensive refit by Solent Refit in Southampton covering the interiors, exteriors and technical systems. In 2015 the yacht was relaunched during a rare solar eclipse.
The yacht is currently offered for sale since 2020 for €2,350,000 (approx. $2,480,000) at Ocean Independence (enquire here). That company also offered the yacht for sale in 2011 with an asking price of € 2,500,000, which was lowered over the course of a year to €1,495,000 and it was sold in 2012.
